that continues to dominate this season.

Starting from pole position, Rosberg remained in the lead throughout the whole race, leaving team-mate Lewis Hamilton 17 seconds away and Sebastian Vettel completing the podium further 27 seconds behind.

In the championship standings, Rosberg cut the lead to Hamilton to 20 points and increased it to 11 points to Vettel.

The Spanish Grand Prix won't go down in history as a great rush of excitement as the layout of the circuit does not allow many overtakings. The race decisions took place on the pits, depending too much on strategy.

With Rosberg clearly in front, the race was to be discussed between Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel. The British lost his second place from qualifying at the start and soon realized he would not get past the German on the track.

After the first round to the pits, where a problem in changing a tire caused a three-second delay forced Mercedes to change strategy. On the second stop it was clear that Hamilton was moving to a three-stops strategy. The British came out ahead of Vettel and forced the pace to achieve sufficient advantage to stay ahead of the German after the third stop to stay. A strategy that turned out successful.
