will be moving into a production version of the Adam RocksOpel ADAM Rocks ConceptGermany, 2013 > 20134 photos
, shown as a concept car at last year's Geneva Motor Show. A year later the German brand is preparing to launch in the market its new mini-crossover that combines the open-roof driving pleasure and the versatility of a robust car. Production of the new variant of the Adam will begin in the summer.
The latest Adam is 3.74 meters in length, making it perfect for urban driving, and is equipped with a full sunroof. The bodywork has all-around protections and the suspension is 15 mm higher. Opel's designers developed new decorative elements and chose new fabrics specifically for the seats of the new variant. The trapezoidal grille is still traversed by the chrome bar that holds the Opel logo, but is now integrated with the protective pieces. The daytime running lights and LED rear optical groups are another feature of the new Adam Rocks. The lower protection section of the front and rear bumpers, as well as the chrome exhaust exit complete the look of the city mini-crossover .
The full sunroof Swing Top, made of fabric, is part of the standard equipment. It has an electric command and opens up to the C-pillars, in just five seconds. This creates a large opening roof without damaging the features of the rigid bodywork or car functionality.
In addition to many innovations, such as the automatic parking system Park Assist, the new Adam Rocks also receives the new generation of IntelliLink infotainment.
Opel has created two unique environments for the Adam Rocks cabin, with new applications on the dashboard and door panels and new fabrics in the seats. One of the environments is dominated by brown honey color, including the linings on the leather steering wheel and handles of the lever box and handbrake. The other cabin is decorated in black, lined with dark brown and blue stitching in the seats.
