Ferrari unveiled the first images of the highly anticipated
convertible version of LaFerrari supercar. The vehicle was created having in mind collectors and customers who do not want to relinquish open-top driving even when they are behind the wheel of a supercar.
With the official presentation scheduled for September at the Paris Motor Show, the convertible LaFerrari is a special limited edition, whose entire production has already been purchased. The official name, due to be called LaFerrari Spider, as well as all the technical specifications of the supercar will be revealed at that time.
Ferrari revealed that the new model will be equipped with the same combination of a 800hp V12 ICE engine and an electric motor of 163hp from the
coupé version, thus presenting a combined output of 963hp. In addition the Italian brand also revealed that the convertible will be available with a soft or hard carbon fiber top.
There were also made significant changes to the chassis in order to try to maintain the same torsional rigidity of the coupé version. The aerodynamic was also optimized in order to maintain the same drag coefficient without the roof.
