Models ending with '1' like the new 301 will denote conquest models. These are cars that will be sold worldwide but mostly in emerging markets. They will be more affordable models.
Mainstream models will end with '8' like the new Peugeot 208Peugeot 208 Gen.1France, 2012 > present103 versions

. These are the Peugeot models that most people are familiar with. Any cars that currently end in '7' will be updated to '8' names in the next generation. Peugeot says that future generations of its cars will keep the '8' designation.
The rest of the Peugeot naming scheme will remain the same. The first number denotes the car's segment and will not vary by market. The middle digits will always be zeros.
