and rather quickly going bankrupt. Last summer, Chinese auto company Youngman bought 30% of Spyker with plans to revive them. Those plans are finally coming to fruition. Spyker showed the B6B6 VenatorSpyker B6 VenatorNetherlands, 2013 > present7 photos

SUV at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March, eight years after it first showed the original concept.

Having the D8 on sale by the end of 2014 was actually one of the clauses in the contract for Spyker to receive all of the money from Youngman. The deal stipulates that Spyker will build the car, and Youngman will fund the project. The plan is to sell 1,000 units a year primarily in China and Russia.

“The engineering has been done, but we need to build the tools and put the car into production.

“No one has put in the marketplace a mid-engined supersports vehicle with four doors and four-wheel drive. The P2P will be very usable, but it will be a beast," said Spyker CEO Victor Muller.

Muller indicated that the look of the D8 has been refreshed compared to the eight-year-old concept but did not give any details.

The B6 Venator sports car will go on sale in early to mid 2014. It is powered by a 375hp V6 engine and is meant to take on the Porsche 911911 Gen.6 [991 Series]Porsche 911 Gen.6 [991 Series]Germany, 2011 > present110 versions

. However, Spyker will not build the B6 in-house. It does not currently have the capacity to build the model. Instead, it will be built elsewhere, but Muller has not announced where yet.

“We really need to have very high-quality craftsmen that understand how to build a car, so we will probably end up in Germany or in England,” he said.
