Spyder at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and announced new details about the coupe as well. Spyker says that it intends to have to have both cars in production by late 2014 for Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Sales in the United States are scheduled to start in 2015. Spyker says that the B6 Venator Spider will cost around $150,000 when it goes on sale.

Spyker unveiled the car at The Quail Motorsports Gathering in Pebble Beach, California. Spyker CEO Victor Muller designed both the B6 and the Spider. While the design is quite modern, the Venator name means Hunter in Latin and refers to a fighter plane built by Spyker during World War I.

The chassis is made from aluminum, and the body is carbon fiber. It has an overall length of 4.347m and width excluding the mirrors of 1.882m with a 2.5m wheelbase. The weight target for the car is under 1,400kg.

The Spider is mechanically identical to the coupe version, and the styling changes are minor. Muller added the company's Latin motto onto the side of the car: “Nulla tenaci invia est via” – “For the tenacious no road is impassable.” The car carries Spyker design hallmarks like a front mesh grill with the original Spyker logo. The LED taillights are three dimensional with multiple LEDs stacked on top of one another and look like the afterburners of a jet engine when lit.

The interior has Spyker's traditional exposed shifter with exposed aluminum parts and metal toggle switches.

Spyker has not officially announced a power figure for the Venator's transversely mounted V6 but say that it will be in excess of 375hp. It uses a six-speed automatic to send power to the rear wheels.

Spyker appears to be slowly coming back. It intends to have the B6 on sale in most places by the end of next year, and its D8 SUVD8 Peking-to-ParisSpyker D8 Peking-to-ParisNetherlands, 2008 > present4 photos
is also due next year as part of its deal with Chinese company Youngman.
