The Subaru STI Performance is based on the BRZ so it may indicate that the Japanese brand may be considering expanding the STI performance sub-brand. The BRZ sports car seems to be on the front line to receive a more powerful version.

Compared to the BRZ the concept received modifications on suspension, chassis and aerodynamics. According to the brand, the STI Performance is supposed to have a 300hp output. This is significantly more powerful than the 200hp of the 2.0 boxer four-cylinder engine from the production model. This is the engine that is used in Subaru GT racing in Japan.

There is no confirmation that the STI Performance concept will make it to production.
