Volkswagen Bringing Four New Up Concepts to Geneva

Volkswagen Bringing Four New Up Concepts to Geneva

Volkswagen has announced four new Up concepts for the Geneva Motor Show: the Swiss Up, Winter Up, X Up and Cargo Up.

The Swiss Up is based on the four-door Up and will be colored as the Swiss flag - red and white. The interior will be leather in a color VW calls 'ceramique' with brown Alcantara trim.

The Winter Up is also based on the four-door Cross Up and comes with a snowboard holder on the roof. It has ESP with differential locks for better traction in the snow. It is painted white with blue trim. It comes with anthracite-colored body protection panels and underbody protection. The interior is the same color combination.

The X Up is also based on the Cross Up and includes a roof box with spotlights. It also has the body protection panels and underbody protection like the Winter Up. The car is painted burnt orange metallic with anthracite trim and a few chrome accents.

Finally, VW will have the Cargo Up at Geneva that offers 1400l of cargo capacity. It is designed as a small, commercial vehicle for delivering small packages. The rear windows have been darkened and the side windows are painted red like the rest of the body. It has been raised 15mm and has underbody protection like the Cross Up. The interior is totally empty except for the driver's seat and cockpit to maximize carrying capacity.

Volkswagen is going crazy with the up! I guess they have tried almost everything with the new model. A little bit too much in my opinion. The car doesn't need this to be promoted.
