Race started with heavy rain and under safety car

' Lewis Hamilton another victory this season.

Having stolen from Hamilton the pole position on Saturday, Rosberg held the lead for the first 28 laps in a race that started behind the safety car due to adverse weather conditions. After the departure of the safety car from the track, after nine laps, Rosberg held the lead with Hamilton keeping a short distance due to the spray raised by his teammate.

Feeling some oversteer problems after switching to intermediate tires and track conditions improving, on lap 29 Rosberg clearly lost its pace and opened the door for Hamilton to attack, which happened on Turn 1 with a help of the DRS system.

Hamilton got away from Rosberg and ran toward the eighth victory of the season which didn't came with the checkered flag but with the red flag due to the heavy accident of Jules Bianchi who crashed into the race stewards who were taking out from the track the car of Adrian Sutil on Turn 7.

The Marussia driver was transported to the hospital where he underwent surgery and is hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
