What is the biggest waste of money that you can think of? How about spending $4.7 million on a Lamborghini Aventador. Well, at least you get a car out of the deal, right?
Wrong. Dead wrong. German model maker, Robert Gulpen, is asking $4.7 million for a 1:8 scale model of the Aventador. It is made from carbonfiber that has gold thread incorporated into it. The interior is encrusted with diamonds.
Gulpen says that it took 500 hours to make the model Aventador. It will be auctioned by Sotheby's in December with a starting bid of $4.7 million. However, if you just can not live without it, Gulpen will sell the model to you now for $6 million.
