Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Sold Out Until Summer 2014

It is a good time to work for Lamborghini. It revealed the Aventador Roadster in November and started taking order immediately. Now, the cars are just starting to go on sale, Lamborghini says that back orders for the car stretch back to the summer of 2014. 

Buyers have two options if they want one. They can either get at the end of the line and wait for their personalized Aventador Roadster or pay what is likely a hefty premium to get a car that has already been ordered. 

The Aventador starts at €300,000 in Europe and $441,600 in the United States. 

In its annual financial report, Lamborghini said that it sold 922 Aventadors last year, and that was before the roadster has been introduced. It also said even then that it had a 15-month wait list for both versions of the car. 

When asked Lamborghini confirmed, "Yes, the Aventador Roadster is forward-ordered until 2014."
