posted its best July sales ever with 116,790 cars sold worldwide, up 20%, and every major regional market posted double-digit sales increases, including Europe. From January to July 2013, Mercedes-Benz has sold 811,227 cars, an 8.1% increase.

Mercedes-Benz Group sold 54,096 cars in Europe, up 15.5%, 26,857 cars in North America, up 21.6%, and 31,146 cars in Asia, up 26.9%. It is the number one luxury automaker in Germany and the United States. It is adding 75 new dealers in China this year, and 36 of those are in cities in which Mercedes currently has no presence.

The new E-Class is also proving quite popular with 21,051 sedans and wagons sold, up 25.5% over last July. Sales are expected to increase even more in August, when the car is introduced to China.

Mercedes' goal is to sell 1.4 million cars this year. It is searching for new sales by moving into urban areas. It has opened 20 sales centers worldwide in cities like Berlin, Paris, Milan, New York, Beijing and Tokyo are exposing the brand to shoppers and browsers.
