SLC has been in development for over a year, but firm details about the car are finally emerging.

The SLC will be positioned as the entry level SLS in the Mercedes lineup. The SLC will use conventional doors and a smaller engine, but the general design will echo the larger, more powerful SLS. The two cars may even use the same platform. The engine will be a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 480hp that will be shared with the next generation C63Mercedes-Benz C-ClassGermany, 1983 > present5 series
