“We have to increase our SUV offerings. It’s important we get in the A0 SUV segment, and we’re working on it," said Volkswagen Head of Research and Development Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg. 

VW refers to supermini cars as the A0 segment. 

VW plans to offer the Polo SUV in several versions based on region. Emerging markets will get a much more basic version. A more luxurious version of the truck will be used for the Audi Q2 later.
