, but did not have the money to buy one of the 21 cars built. So he decided to build his own from a Nissan Van, Volkswagen SantanaVolkswagen SantanaGermany, 1981 > 20068 versions

Jian used the Santanna as a base but broke the car down to a plain chassis. He relocated the engine to the middle and replaced it with a Nissan Van engine. He used various used cars to supply the metal for the body, which he reformed. Some portions, like the doors, had to be made from scractch. Jian welded tubular steel into a form and covered it with wood, which he then painted.
As you can see from the pictures, the car is still unfinished. It still needs headlights and a windshield and rear glass, but it does run. Jian claims that it has a top speed of 160mph.
Jian got the skill to build the car by becaming a mechanic when he was 16. He began building the car last May.
