Lamborghini made 21 Reventon's, but one of them will never be sold and was made exclusively for its museum. That leaves 20 for the entire world to compete over these 211mph super cars. When new, the Reventon cost £787,250. Now, H&H Classics thinks that it can get £1 million or more for one during an auction at London's Motorexpo that runs from June 11-17. The car being sold is the only Reventon currently registered in the UK.
The Reventon debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2007 using the same mechanicals as the Murcielago LP640Lamborghini Murcielago LP640Italy, 2006 > 20105 photos
, but with a 10hp boost to 650hp. It had a new carbon fiber body with style inspired by the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. Despite the higher power and slightly lower weight, it was just as fast as a normal LP640 being able to accelerate to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds, and top speed remained the same as the LP640 as well. The name came from a Spanish bull but also translates in Italian to a small explosion.
Like the exterior, the interior of the Reventon was covered in carbon fiber and Alcantara, but the really cool feature was the instrument panel made from three TFT displays. They were also modeled on the HUD of a fighter jet.
“The appearance, let alone sale, of a car as rare as the Lamborghini Reventón is sure to attract a large number of supercar enthusiasts and collectors to Motorexpo this summer,” said Graeme Carver, Motorexpo CEO.
H&H will also be selling a rare Auburn Speedster and many other exclusive cars. Motorexpo runs from June 11-17 at Canary Wharf in London.
