SUV is still being worked on, despite the SUV not yet having a green light for production.

“We’re working on it and it will come, which will be good for the brand. We’re going low profile now. I can’t tell you much on details now, but when we get close to the launch, we will have more,” said Stephan Winkelmann.

The major impediment to the new car is that Bentley’s SUV has already been cleared for production. The two cars, while appealing to different buyers, would be roughly the same price. A new Cayenne is also on the way, and top models of it would be aimed at similar buyers to the Lamborghini.

If the Lamborghini Urus gets cleared for production, it will take about four years to go on sale.

Winkelmann also said “there is a slowdown in high-end luxury” in China, and Lamborghini will put a larger focus on Japan, the Middle East and United States.
