The GL-Class is Mercedes' line of full-size, luxury SUVs. It is meant to be the S-Class equivalent in Mercedes' SUV lineup. The new GL is 21mm longer, 14mm wider and 10mm higher than the truckMercedes-Benz GL-ClassGermany, 2006 > 201220 versions

The newly announced portion of the lineup is the GL63 AMG. It uses a biturbo, 5.5-liter V8 with 557hp and 760Nm of torque. It uses a seven-speed automatic transmission. The AMG accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and has a 250km/h electronically limited top speed. Fuel consumption is rated at 12.3l/100km and emissions are 288g of CO2/km.
