has refreshed the Espace with its new, wider corporate nose, cleaner available engines and interior updates.

The latest Espace was released in 2002 and has received extensive updates since then. For this year it is getting a new nose that uses a larger Renault emblem and wide grill. It also gets three new wheel designs: Hurlingham, Monterey and Dark Eptius.

Another part of the upgrades to the refreshed Espace are its available engines. It comes in three tunes of its 2.0 dCi engines with 130hp, 150hp and 175hp. The new engine cuts CO2 emissions by 20g/km bringing the cleanest model down to 150g/km of CO2. It is also more fuel efficient and cuts fuel use by 0.8l/100km, which brings the most economical model down to 5.7l/100km. All versions of the engine feature regenerative braking.

These engines come with either a six-speed manual gearbox or an automatic. The automatic sees the same 20g/km improvement over last year but actual CO2 emissions are 169g/km of CO2.

The 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine has also been improved. Emissions are down 6g/km of CO2 to 198g/km of CO2 and fuel economy of 8.5l/100km, a 0.3l/100km improvement.

Renault has also given the Espace upgrades inside. It gets visible stitching and available leather and Alcantara upholstery. The cloth seats get a new Teflon-coated fabric that is stain resistant. A reverse camera is available for the first time. There is an available sunroof that opens through the first two rows of seats. A DVD player with 7in screen mounted on the front seats is available on all trims of the Espace.

The refreshed Espace will be available soon.
