With the Paris Motor Show just a couple of weeks away, Lamborghini has released another teaser picture of its new model set to premiere in Paris. Most important, the Italian brand also released a Manifesto about the future of its supersportscars.
In this manifesto Lamborghini’s President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann states that the most important challenge that the new models of the brand will face have to do with weight.
According to Winkelmann since the mid-1980’s the Lamborghinis had their average weight increased by 500kg, in order to respect additive regulations. With neither safety nor performance being sacrificed, the option is definitely on weight reduction with the help of carbon fiber.
Thanks to the work done by its two laboratories, one in Sant’Agata and the other in Seattle, Lamborghini is a front-runner in terms of use of carbon fiber and the brand will you this expertise to continuously lower its vehicles weight.
"Every new Lamborghini will make the best use of carbon fiber to reduce weight," is the confirmation that the carbon fiber will get generalized in Lambo’s models, not only on the upcoming model in Paris.
Returning to the picture, this new teaser is once again a mistery, but it might be the cover of the engine, or perhaps simply the accelerator. For now everything is speculation and there are still four more pictures to come, with the finale set for the presentation at the Paris Motor Show.
