The convertible would use the same 200hp, 2.0 liter boxer four-cylinder engine with the same automatic and manual options.

are available as four-seat convertibles for less money, but the BRZ/GT-86 has very different driving dynamics than those two cars.
The earliest that the convertible would be available would be late 2013 or early 2014.
There are other rumors about the future about the car's platform. One is that Toyota is considering using it for future models including the next generation Lexus ISLexus ISJapan, 1998 > present3 series
