History, Development and General Characteristics

The fifth series of the Aston Martin V8 was launched at the 1986 New York International Auto Show. Aston Martin had built 405 units when production of the Series 5 V8 was shut down in 1989.

Engine and Transmission

The series 5 Aston Martin V8 has got a front-mounted 5.3-liter, fuel-injected V8 engine with a 305 hp output. It goes from 0–60 mi/h in 6.7 seconds and goes on up until 149 mi/h (240 km/h).
A three-speed automatic transmission is fitted on this rear-wheel drive car.
