Veracruz is a crossover sports utility vehicle (CUV) launched in 2006. Veracruz is named after a Mexican state. The model ranked 5 starts on the NHTSA crash tests for passenger and driver frontal crash and also side crash. Veracruz had two engine options: a petrol 3.8l and a diesel 3.0l and is fitted with an automatic transmission.
