Jean Rondeau wanted to compete at Le Mans, but he was lacking funding to put his bold vision in to motion. So, he turned to the sponsorship of Inaltera, a paper production company in exchange for the funding demanded that the car was branded after it's name. Rondeau entered Le Mans in 1976 with the Inaltera team and finished in the 4th position. Inaltera removed his sponsorship in the next year and Rondeau went by himself in the following year.
